Today I read the disturbing news about man commiting suicide over the construction of DAM and rehabilation. When is this madness going to end? Can't we think about all the other issues that needs to be solved at this point of time in the country? Help - someone.

On Sardar Sarovar and Medha Patkar

Here one of my friend's has triggered me to write on this now!

I have always been a fan of Medha Patkar. She is a fantastic leader (I believe her to be more than a politician) and I sense passion in what her goals are upto. Dams, on one hand are a very good sign of economic growth. But when the same Dam's - for the purpose of a creature on this earth with 6th sense can destroy millions of floura and fauna species forever and forever, then Dam's form the most dangerous of all of man's creations.

Think of it - is it possible to recreate the forests that are lost? Is it possible to re-live all the millions of years the land has gone through and recreate the ecosystem that has thrived in that place for time?

Think of it - is it still possible to keep our place on this earth safe by disturbing the biological cycle?

Even if you forget the evil nature of human - who does not care about any other living beings on earth JUST BECAUSE THIS CREATURE COULD THINK! Think about the 10,000 families that have to relocate - that to a land where there have no choice! What is the meaning of democracy? How many times would you relocate from your already settled house?

As annoying as it is to receive so many such mails a day -
Well - I was just wondering how these spammers get in their way through all the filters...
All the strange characters embedded in one single email to get it through all the complex text filter engines that are designed!
Sof`tabs, V`iiag`g`ra, Ci-ialis, e-xperts etc. etc. etc.


Good - Spammers do have some clay left in their heads.
But what the heck?
I am not sure how many people would buy in such crap explained in such a crappy language. Why the hell spammers waste everyone's bandwidth and all the energy in the world?
I think the maximum bandwidth consumed in email would be due to spammers today - and nothing else!
So - that is called DUMB INTELLIGENCE. Use your energy in worthwhile business and find proper customers in proper places. I think all spammers need to learn that first.

Man in his worst - Nature At Its Best

So - here is another example of the greed of man. Why we call good qualities "humanly", I do not understand -when we have to look at man's qualities as "Godly".
When will we stop destroying nature? When will we realize that we need to CO-EXIST with other living things. MAN is NOT THE ONLY CREATURE on earth.

AIDS: Does It Make enough Sense to Stop Fiddling with Nature?

After reading articles from BBC on Guinea Pig Kids and "The Gay Experiment That started AIDS in America" - do we still need to believe that we can beat nature?
With the half baked knowledge about things around and not a speckle of knowledge on what is life - WHAT RIGHTS DOES MAN HAVE IN THIS WORLD TO MESS AROUND ALL OVER THE UNIVERSE?

Household - Today and the Future

I was reading: http://www.nytimes.com/2006/02/08/opinion/08warner.html?th&emc=th by Judith Warner - where she describes how women's life has seldom changed or the household chores are seldom shared by the husband's in the household. I feel that taking control of the house does not mean only managing ones income and money - making a happy life transends those boundaries. Cleaning, mopping, shopping and other chores that women women tend to be allocated in our so called "gender caste" system is unfair. I guess, in a balanced and happy life - these can be shared always.
Somehow, I feel that the Feminine caste (if I may call it so), has always been doing the job better. I am sure in most of the households, the mother is the better cook (fathers tend to be occasionally good cooks - but do not seem to be consistent).
Practically, I think that child care and simple house hold things taken care by the feminine member will bring more joy and happiness than if it is by the other member of the household.
